  • Sun's Zenith in Britain: Direction & Explanation
    When the sun is highest in the sky in Britain, it will be in the south.

    This is because the Earth is tilted on its axis, and Britain is located in the Northern Hemisphere. The sun's highest point (also called the zenith) is directly overhead at the equator, and as you move north, the sun's highest point moves progressively lower in the sky and further south.
