  • Jupiter Missions: Exploring the Solar System's Giant Planet
While we haven't physically sent humans to Jupiter, we have sent robotic spacecraft to explore it.

Here are some of the most notable missions:

    * Pioneer 10 and 11 (1973-1974): These were the first spacecraft to fly by Jupiter, sending back the first close-up images of the planet and its moons.

    * Voyager 1 and 2 (1979): These spacecraft provided even more detailed images of Jupiter and its moons, including the discovery of volcanic activity on Io.

    * Ulysses (1992): This spacecraft studied Jupiter's magnetic field and its interaction with the solar wind.

    * Galileo (1995-2003): This mission was the first to orbit Jupiter and provided a wealth of information about the planet's atmosphere, moons, and magnetic field.

    * Juno (2016-present): This spacecraft is currently orbiting Jupiter and studying its deep atmosphere, magnetic field, and gravity.

So, while no humans have visited Jupiter yet, we have sent numerous robotic explorers to study this fascinating planet.
