  • Why Is the Moon Visible During the Day? Understanding Lunar Visibility
You can't only see half the moon during the day. You can see the moon during the day in all its phases, including full moon.

    Here's why:

    * The moon reflects sunlight. The reason we see the moon is because it reflects sunlight. Even during the day, the moon is still reflecting sunlight.

    * Moon's position. The moon orbits the Earth, and its position relative to the sun and Earth changes constantly. Sometimes, the moon is positioned in a way that allows us to see it during the day.

    * The brightness of the sky. The amount of sunlight in the sky makes it harder to see the moon during the day, especially when the moon is in its crescent or new moon phases.

So, while it might seem like you only see half the moon during the day, it's actually just harder to notice it because of the sunlight.
