The Apollo program was a series of spaceflights conducted by the United States from 1961 to 1972. Apollo 11 was the first mission to land humans on the Moon.

While there were other missions in the Apollo program that went to the Moon, Apollo 11 is the one that is most famously associated with achieving this feat.
