  • Lunar Orbit: How Long Does the Moon Circle Earth?
The Moon takes approximately 27.3 days to complete one orbit around the Earth. This is known as the sidereal month.

However, there's another time period associated with the Moon's orbit: the synodic month, which is the time between two new moons. This takes about 29.5 days. The difference is due to the Earth's movement around the Sun.
