  • Understanding the Relationship Between Force and Acceleration
    Acceleration is directly proportional to force.

    This is described by Newton's Second Law of Motion:

    F = ma

    Where:

    * F is the net force acting on an object

    * m is the mass of the object

    * a is the acceleration of the object

    This equation shows that:

    * If you increase the force, you increase the acceleration.

    * If you decrease the force, you decrease the acceleration.

    In other words, a greater force results in a greater acceleration, and a smaller force results in a smaller acceleration.
