  • Constant Velocity: Understanding When Acceleration Stops
When an object stops accelerating, it is known as constant velocity.

    Here's why:

    * Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.

    * If an object is accelerating, its velocity is changing.

    * If an object is no longer accelerating, its velocity is not changing.

    * Constant velocity means the object is moving at a steady speed in a straight line.

Important note: An object can be at rest and still be considered to have constant velocity (specifically, zero velocity).
