  • Calculating Work Done: Force, Distance, and Joules Explained
    Here's how to calculate the work done:

    Understanding Work

    Work is done when a force causes an object to move a certain distance. The formula for work is:

    * Work (W) = Force (F) x Distance (d)

    Applying the Formula

    * Force (F) = 10.0 N

    * Distance (d) = 0.75 m

    * Work (W) = 10.0 N * 0.75 m = 7.5 Joules (J)

    Therefore, you do 7.5 Joules of work to lift the box.
