  • Volume & Density: Do Identical Objects Have the Same Volume?
    Not necessarily. Here's why:

    * Identical objects means they have the same shape and size.

    * Volume is the amount of space an object occupies.

    The catch:

    * Materials matter: Two identical objects made of different materials will have different volumes. For example, a metal cube and a plastic cube of the same size will have different volumes because metal is denser than plastic.

    * Hollow vs. Solid: A hollow object will have a smaller volume than a solid object of the same shape and external dimensions. For example, a hollow metal sphere will have a smaller volume than a solid metal sphere of the same size.

Therefore, identical objects will only have the same volume if they are made of the same material and are both solid.
