  • Understanding Net Force: The Push or Pull That Initiates Motion
The force exerted on an object to get it to move is called net force. Here's why:

    * Force is a push or pull that can cause a change in motion.

    * Net force is the overall force acting on an object, considering all the individual forces and their directions.

For an object to start moving, the net force acting on it must be greater than zero. This means the forces pushing the object in one direction must be stronger than the forces opposing its motion.
