    When acceleration and velocity are in the same direction, speed will increase.

    Here's why:

    * Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.

    * Velocity has both speed (magnitude) and direction.

    When acceleration is in the same direction as velocity:

    * The object is already moving in that direction.

    * The acceleration adds to the existing velocity, causing the speed to increase.

    Think of it like pushing a car. If you push in the same direction the car is already moving, it goes faster.
