    * Long-range: Electric forces can act over large distances, unlike many other forces like the strong nuclear force. This is why we experience the effects of electricity even when we are far away from the source.

    * Inverse square law: The strength of the electric force between two charged objects decreases with the square of the distance between them. This means that the force becomes weaker rapidly as the distance increases.

    * Polarity: Electric forces are either attractive or repulsive, depending on the charges involved. Like charges repel each other, while opposite charges attract.

    * Superposition: The total electric force on an object due to multiple charges is the vector sum of the individual forces. This means that the forces from different charges add together to produce a net force.

    * Field concept: The electric force can be described using the concept of an electric field. This field is created by charged objects and exerts a force on other charges placed within it.

    * Electromagnetic radiation: When charges are accelerated, they radiate energy in the form of electromagnetic waves. These waves can travel at the speed of light and can be observed as light, radio waves, X-rays, and other forms of electromagnetic radiation.

    However, on a large scale, electric forces can often be masked or neutralized due to:

    * Screening: The presence of other charges can shield a particular charge from the effects of other charges, effectively weakening the electric force.

    * Conductors: In conductors, free charges move to redistribute themselves and neutralize any electric field within the material.

    * Dielectrics: Materials called dielectrics can reduce the strength of electric fields by polarizing their molecules.

    Therefore, while electric forces are fundamental and have significant effects on a microscopic scale, their influence can be significantly reduced or masked in large-scale systems.
