  • Terminal Velocity: Understanding the Point of Constant Speed
The term for the point at which an object will not accelerate anymore is terminal velocity.

    Here's why:

    * Acceleration: Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. When an object accelerates, its velocity changes.

    * Terminal Velocity: When an object falls through a fluid (like air), it experiences drag forces that oppose its motion. As the object falls faster, the drag force increases. Eventually, the drag force becomes equal and opposite to the force of gravity acting on the object. At this point, the net force on the object is zero, and it stops accelerating. This constant velocity is called terminal velocity.

In simpler terms, terminal velocity is the maximum speed an object can reach while falling.
