  • Newton's First Law: What Happens with Zero Net Force?
When the net force on an object is zero, the object's motion will:

    * Remain at rest if it was initially at rest. This is due to Newton's First Law of Motion (the Law of Inertia).

    * Continue moving at a constant velocity if it was already in motion. This also follows from Newton's First Law.

    In simpler terms:

    * If it's not moving, it won't start moving.

    * If it's moving, it will keep moving at the same speed and in the same direction.

Let me know if you'd like more explanation on any of these concepts!
