  • Understanding Liquids: Particle Arrangement and Flow
    The state of matter where particles are close together but still able to flow is liquid.

    Here's why:

    * Solids: Particles are tightly packed and vibrate in fixed positions. They cannot flow.

    * Liquids: Particles are close together but can move around each other. This allows liquids to take the shape of their container and flow.

    * Gases: Particles are far apart and move freely. They can expand to fill any container and have no definite shape.
