  • Same Velocity, Same Direction? Understanding Vector Motion
Two objects with the same velocity must be moving in the same direction.

    Here's why:

    * Velocity is a vector quantity. This means it has both magnitude (speed) and direction.

    * If two objects have the same velocity, they have the same speed and the same direction.

    Example:

    * Two cars traveling at 60 mph going east have the same velocity.

    * Two cars traveling at 60 mph, one going east and one going west, have the same speed but different velocities.
