* Acceleration is a change in velocity. Velocity has two components: speed and direction.
* The ball's direction is constantly changing. Even though the ball's speed is constant, it's constantly changing direction as it moves in a circle.
* Change in direction means change in velocity. Since the ball's velocity is changing, it is accelerating.
This type of acceleration is called centripetal acceleration. It's always directed towards the center of the circle, keeping the object moving in its circular path.
