  • Louis de Broglie and the Wave-Particle Duality of Electrons
The person who applied particle-wave theory to electrons was Louis de Broglie.

In his 1924 PhD thesis, de Broglie proposed that all matter, including electrons, exhibits wave-like properties. This was a revolutionary idea at the time, as it challenged the classical understanding of matter as purely particles.

His hypothesis, later confirmed by experimental observations like the Davisson-Germer experiment, laid the foundation for quantum mechanics.
