  • Understanding Velocity: Direction and Speed
Two objects with the same velocity must be moving in the same direction and at the same speed.

    Here's why:

    * Velocity is a vector quantity. This means it has both magnitude (speed) and direction.

    * Speed refers only to how fast an object is moving.

    * Direction specifies the path the object is taking.

    Example:

    * Two cars traveling at 60 mph in the same direction have the same velocity.

    * Two cars traveling at 60 mph in opposite directions have the same speed but different velocities.
