  • Understanding Gravity: The Universal Force in Space
The attractive force between any two objects in space is gravity.

Here's why gravity is so important:

    * Universal Force: Gravity affects everything with mass, no matter how big or small. It's what keeps us on the Earth, what makes the moon orbit the Earth, and what holds galaxies together.

    * Attractive Force: Gravity always pulls objects towards each other. The more massive an object, the stronger its gravitational pull.

    * Distance Matters: The force of gravity weakens with distance. The farther apart two objects are, the weaker the gravitational attraction between them.

While other forces exist in space, like electromagnetic forces, gravity is the dominant force that shapes the universe on a large scale.
