  • Understanding How Green Objects Reflect Light: A Simple Explanation
Here's what happens to light when it hits a green object:

    * White light is composed of all colors of the rainbow. When white light shines on an object, all the colors are absorbed except for the color that is reflected back to our eyes.

    * A green object absorbs all colors except green. This means the green object absorbs red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo, and violet.

    * Green light is reflected. Because the green object doesn't absorb green light, it bounces off the surface and travels to our eyes. This is why we see the object as green.

    In simple terms:

Think of a green object as a filter. It lets only green light through and blocks all the other colors.
