  • Understanding Time Intervals in Physics: Calculating Δt
    The formula for change in time in physics is:

    Δt = t₂ - t₁

    Where:

    * Δt represents the change in time (often called "delta t")

    * t₂ is the final time

    * t₁ is the initial time

    Example:

    If a car starts moving at 10:00 AM (t₁ = 10:00 AM) and stops at 11:30 AM (t₂ = 11:30 AM), the change in time is:

    Δt = 11:30 AM - 10:00 AM = 1.5 hours

    Important Note:

    * Time is a scalar quantity, meaning it only has magnitude (amount) and not direction.

    * The change in time is always positive, as it represents the duration between two time points.
