  • Understanding Liquids: Definite Volume & Shape
The state of matter that has a definite volume but no definite shape is liquid.

    Here's why:

    * Definite Volume: Liquids take up a fixed amount of space. If you pour a liter of water into a glass, it will still be a liter of water, even if the shape of the glass changes.

    * No Definite Shape: Liquids take on the shape of their container. Water in a bottle will be bottle-shaped, while water in a bowl will be bowl-shaped.
