  • Frequency and Period of Vibrations: Understanding the Relationship
    If you double the frequency of a vibrating object, its period will halve.

    Here's why:

    * Frequency is the number of vibrations per second (measured in Hertz, Hz).

    * Period is the time it takes for one complete vibration (measured in seconds).

    They are inversely proportional:

    * Frequency = 1 / Period

    This means:

    * If you increase the frequency, the period decreases.

    * If you decrease the frequency, the period increases.

    So, doubling the frequency means the period is divided by two.
