  • Thermal Conductors: Materials That Transfer Heat Effectively
    An object that conducts heat well is called a thermal conductor.

    Here are some examples of good thermal conductors:

    * Metals: Copper, aluminum, gold, silver are excellent conductors. This is why pots and pans are often made from these materials.

    * Diamond: Surprisingly, diamond is an incredibly good thermal conductor.

    * Water: While not as good as metals, water conducts heat fairly well.
