  • Satyendra Nath Bose: India's Second Nobel Laureate in Physics
The second Nobel Prize winner in Physics from India was Satyendra Nath Bose.

He was awarded the prize in 1954, jointly with Marie Curie's daughter, Irene Joliot-Curie, for their independent discoveries in nuclear physics.

While he didn't receive the prize directly for his work on bosons, the Nobel Committee acknowledged his contributions to the development of quantum mechanics, including the "Bose-Einstein statistics" which laid the foundation for the understanding of the behavior of particles like photons and atoms.
