  • Understanding Projectile Motion: Horizontal & Vertical Components
A projectile's motion can be broken down into two independent components:

    1. Horizontal Component: This component is responsible for the projectile's horizontal displacement or range. It's constant throughout the flight, assuming no air resistance.

    2. Vertical Component: This component governs the projectile's vertical displacement and velocity. It's affected by gravity, resulting in the projectile's upward and downward motion.

These two components act independently, allowing us to analyze the motion of a projectile in a simpler way.
