    An object at rest has zero momentum.

    Here's why:

    * Momentum is a measure of an object's mass in motion. It's calculated by multiplying the object's mass by its velocity:

    * Momentum (p) = mass (m) * velocity (v)

    * When an object is stopped, its velocity is zero.

    * Therefore, when you multiply its mass by zero velocity, the momentum is also zero.
