  • Forces Acting on an Object Thrown Upward: Gravity & Air Resistance
When an object is thrown upwards, there are two main forces acting on it:

    1. Gravity: This force pulls the object downwards towards the center of the Earth. It's always present and acts constantly.

    2. Air Resistance (Drag): This force opposes the motion of the object through the air. It depends on factors like the object's shape, speed, and the density of the air.

Note: While throwing the object initially, there is also a force from your hand, but that force only acts during the brief time of the throw and is not considered a force acting on the object once it's in the air.
