  • Gravity: Understanding the Force That Binds the Universe
The attractive force that exists between all objects with mass is called gravity.

Here's a little more about it:

    * Universal Law of Gravitation: Sir Isaac Newton discovered that every object in the universe attracts every other object with a force that is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers.

    * Weak Force: While gravity is the weakest of the fundamental forces, it's the force that holds us to the Earth, keeps planets orbiting stars, and shapes the large-scale structure of the universe.

    * Gravitational Field: Every object with mass creates a gravitational field around itself. This field exerts a force on any other object that enters it.
