  • Understanding Velocity: Speed and Direction Explained
    Velocity tells us two things about an object's motion:

    1. Speed: How fast the object is moving. This is the magnitude of the velocity.

    2. Direction: Which way the object is moving. This is the direction of the velocity.

    So, velocity is a combination of speed and direction. It's not enough to know how fast something is going; you also need to know which way it's going to fully understand its motion.
