    The measure of the force gravity on an object is called weight.

    Here's why:

    * Weight: The force exerted on an object due to gravity. It's a measure of how strongly gravity pulls on an object.

    Important Note:

    * Weight is not the same as mass. Mass is the amount of matter in an object and is a fundamental property. Weight, on the other hand, is a force that depends on the gravitational field the object is in.

    * Weight can change. For example, your weight would be different on the Moon because the Moon's gravity is weaker than Earth's. Your mass, however, would remain the same.
