Here's how it works:
1. Combustion: The rocket engine burns fuel, creating hot, expanding gases.
2. Exhaust: These gases are expelled out of the rocket nozzle at high speed.
3. Reaction: This expulsion of gas creates a force in the opposite direction, pushing the rocket forward.
This is essentially the same way a balloon flies when you let go of it – the air rushes out of the balloon, pushing it in the opposite direction.
In simpler terms: Rockets push themselves forward by throwing stuff backwards really fast.
