  • Net Force: Understanding Equal and Opposite Forces
    The net force is zero.

    Here's why:

    * Forces are vectors: Forces have both magnitude (strength) and direction.

    * Equal and opposite forces cancel: When two forces of equal magnitude act in opposite directions, they perfectly counteract each other.

Imagine pushing a box from both sides with the same amount of force. The box won't move because the forces balance each other out.
