  • Robert Goddard: The Clark University Physicist Who Pioneered High-Altitude Rocketry
The Clark University physicist responsible for "A Method of Reaching Extreme Altitudes" was Robert H. Goddard.

While Goddard was not at Clark University when he wrote the paper, he was a professor of physics there from 1914 to 1919. He conducted much of his early rocket research at Clark University, laying the foundation for his groundbreaking work in rocketry.

His paper, which proposed using liquid-fueled rockets to reach high altitudes, was published in 1919. This work was pivotal in the development of modern rocket technology and earned Goddard the title of "Father of Rocketry."
