  • Electrons: Understanding Atomic Structure and Orbital Motion
The particle that moves around the nucleus is an electron.

    Here's why:

    * Atoms are made up of three main particles: protons, neutrons, and electrons.

    * Protons and neutrons reside in the nucleus at the center of the atom.

    * Electrons orbit the nucleus in a cloud-like region called the electron cloud.

So, while protons and neutrons are found inside the nucleus, electrons are constantly in motion around it.
