  • Conduction: Understanding Heat Transfer Through Direct Contact
The flow of heat by direct contact is known as conduction.

    Here's why:

    * Conduction is the transfer of heat through a material by the vibration of its molecules. When two objects of different temperatures are in contact, the faster-moving molecules in the hotter object collide with the slower-moving molecules in the cooler object, transferring some of their energy. This process continues until both objects reach thermal equilibrium.
