  • Breaking Down Science Putty: How to Make It Crumble (Without Shattering)
You can't truly "shatter" science putty in the same way you would shatter glass. It's designed to be a stretchy, malleable material. However, you can make it break or crumble in a few ways:

    1. Stretching it too far: If you pull the putty too quickly and forcefully, it will eventually break apart. It's like stretching a rubber band too much – it will snap.

    2. Hitting it with a hard object: While the putty is flexible, a strong impact, like a hammer blow, can cause it to break into smaller pieces.

    3. Freezing it: If you freeze science putty, it becomes much more brittle. This makes it easier to break by simply pulling on it or dropping it from a small height.

    4. Using a sharp object: You can cut the putty into smaller pieces using a sharp knife or scissors.

Important Note: While these methods will make the putty break, it won't shatter like glass. The putty will likely tear or crumble into smaller pieces.
