  • Why Thermometer Stems Are Made of Glass: Properties & Benefits
    The stem of a thermometer is made of glass for several reasons:

    While glass thermometers are still used, they are gradually being replaced by digital thermometers, which offer greater accuracy, faster readings, and are safer to use.
