  • Sir Isaac Newton and the Law of Universal Gravitation: A Comprehensive Explanation
The Universal Law of Gravitation was developed by Sir Isaac Newton in the late 17th century.

While he didn't discover gravity itself (it was known that objects fell to the Earth), Newton was the first to mathematically describe the force of gravity and its impact on objects in the universe. He formulated his Law of Universal Gravitation in his book *Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica* published in 1687.
