  • Understanding Horizontal Motion: Constant vs. Changing Speed
Horizontal motion is not necessarily constant. Objects in horizontal motion can accelerate or decelerate due to various forces, such as friction, gravity, or applied forces. For example, a ball rolling on a flat surface will eventually slow down due to friction. A projectile launched horizontally will experience a constant acceleration due to gravity, causing its trajectory to be parabolic.
