  • Wave Frequency and Wavelength: Understanding the Inverse Relationship
When the frequency of a wave traveling at constant speed increases, the wavelength decreases. This is because the wave speed is equal to the product of its frequency and wavelength. If the frequency increases, then the wavelength must decrease in order for the wave speed to remain constant.
