  • Maglev Trains: How Magnetic Levitation Eliminates Friction
Maglev trains, short for magnetic levitation trains, operate on the principle of magnetic levitation, eliminating the traditional friction between the wheels and the track found in conventional trains. Instead of wheels, maglev trains utilize powerful electromagnets to generate a magnetic field that suspends the train above the guideway. This levitation technology virtually eliminates rolling resistance and allows the train to move with significantly reduced friction. Furthermore, maglev trains also experience reduced air resistance due to their sleek aerodynamic designs. As a result, maglev trains can achieve exceptionally high speeds with greater energy efficiency compared to conventional trains.
