Circular explanation is a logical fallacy in which the premise of an argument depends on the conclusion, or where the reason given for something is essentially just a restatement of that thing itself.

Example:

- "Why do you believe in God?"

- "Because the Bible says so."

- "But why should I believe the Bible?"

- "Because it is the word of God."

In this example, the person's belief in God is based on the Bible, but their reason for believing the Bible is because it is the word of God. This is a circular argument because the premise (the Bible is the word of God) depends on the conclusion (belief in God).
