  • Glass Conductivity: Why It's an Excellent Electrical Insulator
Glass is not a good conductor of electricity. It is in fact an excellent insulator. The property that allows it to be an insulator is that it does not have valence electrons that are free to move around. Since the electrons in glass are tightly bound to their atoms, it prevents the flow of electricity.
