  • Average Acceleration of an Object with Constant Acceleration
    Since the object undergoes constant acceleration, the only force acting on it is Gravity in downward direction.

    Thus the average acceleration of the object is in downward direction and is given by:

    $$a_{avg}=\frac{v_f-v_i}{t}=\frac{-v_f-v_i}{t}$$

    Where vi and vf are initial and final velocities, respectively, t is the time of flight.
