  • Kombucha Ingredients: What Can You Ferment?
    Narrator:

Kombucha is a fermented tea that has been around for centuries. It's made by adding a SCOBY, or symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast, to sweetened tea and allowing it to ferment for a period of time. The result is a slightly fizzy, tart, and refreshing drink that is full of probiotics and other health benefits.

But can you make kombucha out of anything?

    Let's find out.

    Will it kombucha?

    Narrator:

As it turns out, you can make kombucha out of almost anything. The SCOBY will feed on the sugars in the liquid and produce lactic acid, which gives kombucha its characteristic tart flavor.

The only things you can't make kombucha out of are liquids that are too acidic or too alcoholic. These will kill the SCOBY and prevent the fermentation process from taking place.

So if you're looking for a healthy and refreshing drink, try making your own kombucha. You can experiment with different flavors and ingredients to find your favorite combination.

    Cheers!
