  • Yellow Light Laws: When to Stop and When to Proceed Safely
It is important to always obey traffic signals for your safety and the safety of others. A yellow traffic light indicates that the light is about to change to red and you must stop if it is safe to do so.

    - If you can stop safely before the light turns red, you should do so.

    - If you are already in the intersection when the light turns yellow, you may proceed with caution.

    - If you are approaching the intersection and the light turns yellow, you should stop if you can do so safely.

Speeding through a yellow light can be dangerous and could result in a crash or a citation from law enforcement.
