Steps to Becoming an Airline Pilot
1. Get a private pilot license. This is the first step in becoming an airline pilot. You can get a private pilot license by completing a flight training program at a certified flight school.
2. Get an instrument rating. An instrument rating allows you to fly in bad weather conditions. You can get an instrument rating by completing an instrument training program at a certified flight school.
3. Get a commercial pilot license. A commercial pilot license allows you to fly for hire. You can get a commercial pilot license by completing a commercial pilot training program at a certified flight school.
4. Get an airline transport pilot certificate. An ATP certificate is required to fly for an airline. You can get an ATP certificate by completing an ATP training program at a certified flight school and passing the ATP written exam and practical test.
Once you have completed these requirements, you can apply for a job as a first officer with an airline.
