  • Understanding Biological Communities: Species and Ecosystems
The term for all the different species living in a particular location is a community.

    Here's why:

    * Community: A community is a group of interacting populations of different species that live in the same area. It focuses on the variety of living things in a specific place.

    * Population: A population is a group of individuals of the same species living in the same area.

    * Ecosystem: An ecosystem is a community of organisms and their physical environment interacting as a functional unit. It considers both the living organisms and the non-living components of their environment.

So, while an ecosystem includes all the living and non-living things, a community focuses specifically on the different species present.
